$65.00 per year Renewal

Your KAIHAKA Membership entitles you to the following:

Full exposure to up-and-coming activities and events organised by Te Atawhai Puumanawa.
Membership discounts as applicable to all activities and events organised by Te Atawhai Puumanawa.
A further 5% discount off all tickets, fundraisers, rōpū merchandise.
Complimentary rōpū Polo Shirt.
All active members are covered by the roopuu public liability insurance.
Eligible to attend, participate and vote in all scheduled meetings for Te Atawhai Puumanawa.
Access to and opportunity to scrutinise all records held by Te Atawhai Puumanawa.
Full access to all Te Atawhai Puumanawa documentation including policies, procedures, forms, work methods and other relevant documents.
Copies of rōpū publications including the official Te Atawhai Puumanawa song book, and the Te Atawhai Puumanawa annual calendar.
Full 12 month active membership entitlements as a “Kaihaka/Performer” include, but are not limited to:
- Reduced local, national and international travel rate,
- Access to atand at competition performances,
- Competition words, tunes and choreography,
- Access to soundcloud files and dropbox files,
Exclusive access to Te Atawhai Puumanawa Kaihaka and Te Atawhai Puumanawa whaanau facebook pages.
First look and dibs at any events/fundraisers we are hosting or attending.
Full access to whakangahau kākahu and whakangahau videos.

As a “KAIHAKA/PERFORMER”, your continued status is contingent upon the following factors:

Consistent and regular attendance at all Te Atawhai Puumanawa Hui (Meetings, gatherings, conventions etc.) and Waananga (Seminars, presentations etc.).
Consistent and regular attendance at Te Atawhai Puumanawa fundraising performances (Perform at 80% of all gigs within a given year).
Consistent and regular attendance at Te Atawhai Puumanawa Kapa Haka practices (Attend 80% of all practices within a given year). and
Performers must purchase all necessary materials for their Traditional uniform.
Performers must create and maintain the approved Traditional uniform.
Performers must satisfy all membership criteria to be deemed an active member. This includes paying of membership fees, adherence and acceptance of all Te Atawhai Puumanawa policies and procedures amongst others. Renewal of your membership fee is yearly.
Performers must complete a consent form to use or not use their images/ personal information for marketing/ promotional material for Te Atawhai Puumanawa.
You MUST NOT be affiliated, in any way, shape or form, with any other Competing or performing Kapa Haka rōpū.

Failure to comply with any of the above conditions will result in your current “Performer” status being revoked; your membership status will revert to “Supporter”.

If joining as an “Administrator”, in particular if you’re applying for an Executive Committee role, please submit a brief profile of yourself including a mihi and a brief account of your achievements/qualifications with your completed membership form. Some of the information that you provide will be used in the media and on the official Te Atawhai Puumanawa website.
